Losing multiple teeth in one part of your mouth can severely compromise your ability to chew food and speak clearly and it can even make you feel self-conscious about your appearance. To restore and replace these missing teeth, Dr. Randy Clasen will often recommend having an implanted bridge.

Sometimes when multiple teeth are lost, some of the original bone structure is lost as well. If the bone structure in that area has indeed been compromised, our Artistic Denture & Dental team might recommend a bone graft. The graft will restore sufficient bone structure that will secure dental implants for years to come.

After all jaw structure issues have been addressed, Dr. Randy Clasen will refer you to an oral surgeon to have the implants installed. This treatment is usually done in a single outpatient appointment that requires sedation. This means that you will need to have a friend or family member drive you to and from your appointment.

During the implant procedure, two small incisions will be made in your gums and channels will be drilled into the bone. Then, a titanium abutment will be screwed into place. Titanium is known to be biologically safe and in time it will completely fuse with your natural bone structure, providing support for the dental implants.

Once the titanium implant has completely fused to your jaw bone, Dr. Randy Clasen can take an impression and start the process of fitting you for a standard dental bridge.
